Building DNA Lifestyle in Iraq from Zero
DNA Lifestyle Iraq × Ejteyaz Marketing Consultancy
August 2025 – August 2026
When DNA Lifestyle entered Iraq, it was starting from zero.
There was no established local social media presence, no physical retail network, no local customer base, and no existing market footprint to build on.
Ejteyaz joined DNA from the very beginning as its integrated marketing partner, helping shape the brand’s market entry, launch its communication ecosystem, support retail expansion, build digital visibility, develop e-commerce traction, and create a consistent customer experience across both online and physical touchpoints.
Within the first year, DNA evolved from a new entrant into a recognized technology and lifestyle retail brand with nationwide digital reach, a growing physical presence in Baghdad, and a rapidly developing e-commerce platform.
The Challenge
Entering Iraq as a new retail brand meant DNA had to build awareness, trust, relevance, and visibility at the same time.
The challenge was not simply to promote products.
DNA needed to:
Establish its brand identity in the Iraqi market
Build social media channels from zero
Introduce a large and complex product portfolio
Launch multiple retail locations
Create strong opening events and in-store experiences
Build a digital sales ecosystem
Generate nationwide awareness beyond Baghdad
Develop strategic partnerships
Maintain consistent brand communication across channels
Measure the actual customer experience inside stores
The objective was to build the full marketing foundation required for DNA to grow in Iraq.
Our Role
Ejteyaz operated as an integrated extension of DNA’s marketing function across four main capabilities:
Communication
We managed the strategic and creative communication ecosystem across social media, content, campaigns, digital channels, e-commerce support, and partnership communication.
Print House Solutions
We produced and managed physical brand materials across DNA locations, including displays, booths, signage, promotional materials, retail graphics, and in-store communication.
Events
We fully managed the marketing side of DNA’s store openings and activations, from event planning and branded setups to customer-facing experiences and launch communication.
Market Research
We conducted mystery-shopping rounds to assess the actual customer experience and provide management with structured insight into service quality and in-store performance.
This combination allowed us to work across the full customer journey rather than treating marketing as a collection of disconnected activities.

Building the Brand from Zero
DNA’s social media presence in Iraq was launched from the ground up.
Ejteyaz helped define the content direction, tone of voice, creative approach, communication rhythm, and digital identity required to introduce the brand to Iraqi consumers.
Within the first year, DNA built a social community of more than:
105,000 active followers
including:
35K+ on Instagram
30K+ on TikTok
40K+ on Facebook
The brand also reached an average of approximately:
10.5 million people every month through social media
Major integrated campaigns achieved around:
8 million reach and impressions on average
This digital growth helped establish DNA as a highly visible consumer technology and lifestyle brand across Iraq.

Building a Nationwide Digital Footprint
Although DNA’s physical expansion initially focused on Baghdad, the digital strategy was designed to reach customers nationwide.
The website, social channels, search activity, and e-commerce ecosystem created a national customer touchpoint for the brand.
By the end of the first year, the website reached approximately:
12 million sessions in a single month
Google Search also became an important discovery channel, directing customers toward both the website and physical stores.
This was particularly important in a market where major international marketplace functions such as Google Merchant and Facebook Marketplace are not yet fully available as standard retail channels.
The digital customer journey therefore focused on:
Search → Website → Product Discovery → Online Order or Store Visit

Building E-commerce from Zero
E-commerce was built alongside DNA’s wider market entry.
Starting without an existing online customer base, the digital ecosystem developed into a meaningful commercial channel.
By the end of the first year, DNA was generating approximately:
50 online orders per day
and e-commerce represented around:
30% of total sales
The importance of this result was not only the sales volume.
It demonstrated that digital marketing, website traffic, product communication, and brand awareness were working together to create real commercial behavior rather than simply generating visibility.

Supporting a Complex Retail Portfolio
DNA’s portfolio required a highly flexible communication engine.
During the first year, the brand carried approximately:
250 international brands
11,500+ products and SKUs
18 product categories
Managing this scale required content that could move between product education, lifestyle storytelling, commercial priorities, product launches, trends, seasonal moments, and brand-building communication.
Rather than relying only on specifications and price, we focused on what each product enabled the customer to experience.
Technology was communicated through lifestyle.
Coffee became part of the morning routine.
Gaming became part of entertainment.
Smart-home products became part of convenience.
Audio became part of mood and identity.
Mobility products became part of everyday movement.
Creative tools became part of self-expression.
This approach helped make the brand more relatable while maintaining the depth of its product offering.

An Always-On Content Engine
Across the first year, Ejteyaz produced and managed more than:
250 social media content pieces
The content operation was supported by approximately:
3–4 video production sessions every month
This created an estimated:
36–48 production sessions annually
The content system supported product launches, store communication, commercial priorities, brand campaigns, retail experiences, seasonal content, and ongoing audience engagement.

More Than 12 Integrated Campaigns
Throughout the year, Ejteyaz developed and executed more than:
12 major integrated campaigns
These campaigns combined different parts of the customer journey rather than focusing on isolated advertising.
They included content, social media, retail materials, digital communication, store activations, video production, product integration, and partnerships.
One of the key creative platforms was:
صيفك على كيفك
Your Summer, Your Way

The campaign was based on the idea that there is no single version of the perfect summer.
For one customer it might mean travel.
For another, gaming.
Music.
Outdoor experiences.
Time with friends.
Or staying home and enjoying technology differently.
DNA became the brand enabling customers to experience summer their own way through its wide lifestyle and technology portfolio.
Growing Without Relying on Discounts
DNA’s first-year strategy was not built around continuous discounting.
The brand focused primarily on product discovery, customer experience, lifestyle communication, partnerships, digital reach, and retail engagement.
Only one major storewide promotional campaign was activated:
Happy Eid from DNA
The campaign offered:
10% off all DNA products
during Eid.
This made the campaign more distinctive while protecting the brand from becoming dependent on constant promotional pricing.

2,000 visitors

Across Jadriya Mall and Boulevard Baghdad alone, DNA currently receives more than:
1,000 visitors per day
with each location averaging approximately:
500+ daily visitors

Building the In-Store Brand Experience
The DNA experience was designed to continue after the customer entered the store.
Across each branch, Ejteyaz managed an average of:
2 branded booths
25 in-store displays
10+ digital screens
Across three branches, this represents approximately:
6 branded booths
75 retail displays
30+ digital screens
These physical touchpoints helped connect brand communication, product education, commercial messaging, and the in-store customer journey.
Strategic Partnerships
Partnership marketing became another important growth pillar.
During the first year, Ejteyaz helped activate:
5 major strategic partnerships
These collaborations connected DNA with wider customer ecosystems, including financial services, payment platforms, and commercial partners.
The goal was not simply co-branding.
Each partnership created a new customer acquisition or engagement opportunity while strengthening DNA’s position within Iraq’s developing digital and consumer economy.
Measuring the Customer Experience
Marketing performance was not limited to online metrics.
Between December 2025 and August 2026, Ejteyaz conducted approximately:
5 mystery-shopping rounds
These evaluations were designed to understand the real customer experience inside DNA stores and provide management with practical feedback.
This created a continuous loop:
Research → Strategy → Execution → Customer Experience Evaluation

What Comes Next
DNA’s first year was about building the foundation.
The next phase is about scaling it.
The current expansion plan targets:
6 retail locations by the end of DNA’s second year in Iraq
The marketing ecosystem built during year one is now positioned to support that growth across additional locations, wider digital reach, new partnerships, stronger e-commerce, and deeper customer engagement.
More Than Marketing Execution
The DNA Lifestyle case demonstrates how Ejteyaz works with ambitious brands entering or expanding in Iraq.
We do not approach marketing as a list of individual services.
We build the system around the business.
From market entry and brand strategy to communication, digital, e-commerce, retail activation, printing, events, partnerships, and research, our role is to connect every customer touchpoint into one growth platform.
From zero presence to nationwide recognition in one year.
That is what an integrated growth partnership looks like.
